- Tiles, marbles, dishware
- Tile nippers or hammer
- Thin-set mortar (for outdoor birdhouse), or tile mastic (for indoor birdhouse)
- Safety goggles
- Latex surgical gloves
- Crafts stick or plastic knife
- Sanded grout (in a color to complement tiles)
- Bucket
- Sponge
