  • Black marking pen
  • Tiles, marbles, dishware
  • Tile nippers or hammer
  • Thin-set mortar (for outdoor birdhouse), or tile mastic (for indoor birdhouse)
  • Safety goggles
  • Latex surgical gloves
  • Crafts stick or plastic knife
  • Sanded grout (in a color to complement tiles)
  • Bucket
  • Sponge
