Map-It-Out Car Caddy
Just the right size for travel games, maps, and car snacks, these take-along totes are a world of fun to make.
- Maps or old atlas
- Scissors
- Glossy decoupage medium
- Paintbrush
- Carrying case, small toolbox, or other small case
- Neck chain
- Pony beads in desired colors
- Small flashlight
1. Use scissors to cut sections from maps or pages from an atlas. To apply each piece to the case, paint the back side with decoupage medium. Place on the case, trimming as necessary to fit around the hardware. Align the straight edges with the edges of the case that meet. Cover the entire case with map sections. Let the decoupage medium dry.
2. Paint a top coat of decoupage medium over all mapped areas. Let it dry. Apply another coat if desired and let dry.
3. String pony beads on the neck chain. Thread through a hole in the flashlight handle and attach it to the case handle.
