Shape Shoulders

Keeping to pat, bind off 7 (9, 11, 13, 15, 17) sts at beg of next 2 rows -- 42 (46, 50, 54, 58, 62) sts. Bind off 8 (9, 10,11, 12, 13) sts at beg of next 2 rows -- sl rem 26 (28, 30, 32, 34, 36) sts onto holder for neck.

Front

Work same as Back until piece measures 19 (20, 21, 22, 23, 24) inches from beg, ending with a WS row.

Shape Neck

Next row (RS): Work across first 20 (23, 26, 29, 32, 35) sts; join another ball of yarn, bind off next 16 (18, 20, 22, 24, 26) sts, work rem 20 (23, 26, 29, 32, 35) sts. Working both sides at once with separate balls of yarn, bind off 2 sts at each neck edge once, then dec 1 st each neck edge every row 3 times -- 15 (18, 21, 24, 27, 30) sts each side. Continue, if necessary, until piece measures same as Back to shoulders.

Sleeve (make 2)

With smaller needles, cast on 36 (36, 36, 44, 44, 44) sts. Next row (RS): (K2, p2) 2 (2, 2, 3, 3, 3) times; k3; (p2, k2) 3 times; p2, k3; (p2, k2) 2 (2, 2, 3, 3, 3) times.
Next row: K the knit sts; p the purl sts. Rep last 2 rows until piece measures 2 1/2 inches from beg, ending with a WS row. Change to larger needle
Set-Up row (RS): P across 8 ( 8, 8, 12, 12, 12) sts for Reverse St st, pm, work Row 1 of Cable Panel A across next 20 sts, p across rem 8 (8, 8, 12, 12, 12) sts for Reverse St st. Finishing

Sew left shoulder seam.

Neckband

With RS facing and smaller needles, pick up and k 66 (70, 74, 78, 82, 86) sts evenly spaced along neck edge. Next row (RS): P1, *k2, p2, rep from * across, ending p1. Next row: K the knit sts and p the purl sts. Rep these 2 rows until neckband measure 4 inches from beg. Bind off loosely in pattern. Sew right shoulder and neckband seam. Sew Sleeves to Front and Back armholes. Sew side and Sleeve seams.
