Garter Stripe Scarf

Warm up any winter day with this attractive wide scarf.
Stripe Sequences

A: 8 rows CC1, 2 rows MC, 2 rows CC2, 2 rows MC, 6 rows CC1, 2 rows MC, 2 rows CC2, 2 rows MC, 8 rows CC1

B: 2 rows CC2, 2 rows MC, 2 rows CC1, 2 rows MC, 2 rows CC2

C: 2 rows CC1, 2 rows MC, 2 rows CC2, 2 rows MC, 6 rows CC1, 2 rows MC, 2 rows CC2, 2 rows MC, 2 rows CC1

Note: Scarf is worked in Garter stitch.

Knitting Instructions

1. With MC, loosely cast on 30 stitches.

2. Knit 2 inches in MC, then work Stripe Sequence A.

3. Knit 3 1/2 inches in MC, then work Stripe Sequence B.

4. Knit 8 inches in MC, then work (center of scarf) Stripe Sequence C.

5. Knit 9 inches in MC, then work Stripe Sequence B.

6. Knit 3 1/2 inches in MC, then work Stripe Sequence A.

7. Finish with MC for 2 inches and loosely bind off all stitches.
