Feathery Knit Fringed Scarf
Skill Level: Easy
Finished Size: Approximately 5 x 60 inches, excluding fringe
- Muench Yarns, Sierra, 77% wool/23% nylon, bulky-weight yarn (50 grams per ball): 6 balls of Purple/Eggplant/Multi (G153-005)
- Size 13 (9 mm) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge
- Size I/9 (5.5 mm) crochet hook
In St st (knit RS rows, purl WS rows), 10 sts and 14 rows = 4 inches/10 cm. TAKE TIME TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE!
Cast on 13 sts.
Row 1 (WS): k3, p7, k3.
Row 2: Knit.
Rows 3-14: Rep Rows 1-2.
Row 15 (WS): Knit.
Row 16: Knit.
Rep Rows 1-16 until piece measures approx 60-inch long, ending with Row 14. Bind off.
Cut 2 strands of yarn measuring 11 inches long. Fold in half to form a loop. With WS of scarf facing and crochet hook, take loop through first st at lower edge. Take ends through loop and pull up to tighten. Add fringe evenly around entire scarf.
