Rich fall colors, appearing as dotted rows, weave their way through this slightly cropped turtleneck. Multicolor bands lend a striped appearance to the hem, collar, and cuffs.

What You Need
  • Coats & Clark Red Heart, TLC Essentials, 100% acrylic, worsted-weight yarn (4 1/2 ounces per skein): 2 (3, 3, 3, 4) skeins of Falling Leaves (2958) for A
  • Coats & Clark Red Heart, TLC Heathers, 100% acrylic, worsted-weight yarn (5 ounces per skein): 2 (2, 3, 3, 3) skeins of Port Wine (2495) for B
  • Size 8 (5 mm) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge
  • Size 6 (4 mm) knitting needles
  • Yarn needle

In Body Pattern with larger needles, 18 sts and 22 rows = 4 inches/10 cm. TAKE TIME TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE!

Special Abbreviations

Wyif: With yarn in front.
Yb: Yarn back.
Sl1p: Slip first stitch purlwise.

Stitches Used

Ribbing (over 15 sts; a rep of 4 rows)
Row 1 (WS): Wyif, sl1p, p14.
Row 2: As Row 1.
Row 3: Wyif, sl1p, yb, k14.
Row 4: As Row 2.
Rep Rows 1-4 for Ribbing.

Body Pattern (a multiple of 4 sts + 2 sts; a rep of 8 rows)
Row 1 (WS): With B, knit.
Row 2: k2-B; (k2-A, k2-B) across.
Row 3: p2-B; (p2-A, p2-B) across.
Row 4: k2-A; (k2-B, k2-A) across.

Notes: When working with two colors in one row, carry unused strand loosely along WS of fabric. When changing color, bring new strand from under present strand for a "twist" to prevent holes.
