One cable is 6 sts; 6-rnd rep Rnd 1: P1, C4F, p1. Rnds 2-6: P1, k4, p1. Rep Rnds 1-6 for Cable pat.

Cast on 32 (40, 44) sts. Divide sts onto 4 needles as foll: 10 (14, 16) sts on Needles 1 and 3; 6 sts on Needles 2 and 4. Join, taking care not to twist sts. Mark beg of rnd, placing marker bet first and last st of rnd. Work in 1x1 Rib for 1 inch. Rnd 1: Work across Needle 1 in St st (k every RS row); work Rnd 1 of Cable pat on Needle 2; k sts on Needle 3; work Rnd 1 of Cable pat on Needle 4. Rnds 2-6: K all sts, working Rnds 2-6 of Cable pat on Needles 2 and 4. Rnd 7-Inc rnd: On Needle 1, k1, M1, k to last st of Needle 1, M1, k1, work even to end of rnd-34 (42, 46) sts. Rnds 8-18: Work even, keeping to Cable pat on Needles 2 and 4. Rnd 19-Inc rnd: Work even across Needles 1 and 2; on Needle 3, k1, M1, k to last st of Needle 3, M1, k1; work even to end of rnd-36 (44, 48) sts. Rnds 20-29: Work even, keeping to Cable pat on Needles 2 and 4. Rnd 30-Inc rnd: On Needle 1, k1, M1, k to last st of Needle 1, M1, k1, work even to end of rnd-38 (46, 50) sts. Work even until piece measures approx 8 inches from beg, end with Rnd 2 of Cable pat. Purl 1 rnd, then work 1 rnd in 1x1 Rib. Next rnd-Eyelet rnd: *K2tog, yo; rep from * around. Purl 1 rnd. Bind off.

With crochet hook, ch 24 inches. Fasten off. Weave it through Eyelet rnd and tie in bow.
