4. Jacket. Jacket is worked in one piece to armholes. Carry MC along side edge when working the color rows. To change color at the end of a dc row: In last st and with color in use, yo and draw up a lp, yo and draw through 2 lps on hook; with new color, yo and draw through rem 2 lps on hook. To change color at the end of a sc row: With color in use, draw up a lp, with new color complete the sc.

5. Body. With MC, ch 62 (68). Row 1 (RS): Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across; turn -- 61 (67) sts. ** Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each sc across; turn. Row 3: Ch 3 -- counts as dc; dc in each sc across; turn. Row 4: With A, ch 1, sc in first 2 sts; * work Longhdc, sc in next st, Longhdc, sc in next 3 sts; rep from * across; end with sc in last 2 sts; turn. Row 5: With MC, ch 2 -- counts as hdc; hdc in each st across; turn. ** Rep Row 5 until work from beg measures approx 5.5 (6) inches ending with a WS row.

6. Right Front. Ch-2 at beg of rows always counts as first hdc. Row 1 (RS): Ch 2, Hdc2tog over next 2 sts, hdc in each of next 12 (13) sts; turn, leaving rem sts unworked. Row 2: Ch 2, hdc in each st to last 2 sts, Hdc2tog over last 2 sts; turn. Row 3: Ch 2, Hdc2tog over first 2 sts, hdc in each st to end of row; turn. Rep Rows 2-3 once more -- 10 (11) sts. Next Row (WS): Ch 2, hdc in each st to end of row; turn. Next Row: Ch 2, Hdc2tog over first 2 sts, hdc in each st to end of row; turn -- 9 (10) sts. Work even until armhole measures approx 4.5 (5) inches. Fasten off.

7. Back. With RS facing, join MC with sl st to next st, ch 2, hdc in each of next 30 (34) sts; turn, leaving rem sts unworked. Cont even on these 31 (35) sts for Back until armhole measures 2 rows less than Right Front. Shape Back Neck Ch 2, hdc in each of next 7 (8) sts, Hdc2tog over next 2 sts; turn, leaving rem sts unworked. Next Row: Ch 2, hdc in each st across--9 (10) sts. Fasten off. Next Row: Sk center 11 (13) sts; join MC with sl st to next st, ch 2, Hdc2tog over next 2 sts, hdc in each st across; turn. Next Row: Ch 2, hdc in each st to end of row--9 (10) sts. Fasten off.

8. Left Front. With RS facing, join MC with sl st to next st, ch 2, hdc in each st to last 2 sts, Hdc2tog over last 2 sts; turn. Work Left Front to correspond to Right Front, reversing all shaping.
