2. Blanket. Beg at lower edge with MC, ch 111. Row 1 (RS): Dc in 4th ch from hook -- counts as 2 dc; dc in each ch across -- 109 sts; turn. Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each st across; turn. Row 3: Ch 3 -- counts as dc; dc in each st across; turn. Row 4: With A, ch 1, sc in each of first 2 sts; * Longhdc, sc in next st, Longhdc, sc in each of next 3 sts; rep from * across, ending with sc in each of last 2 sts; turn. Row 5: With MC, rep Row 3. Row 6: With MC, rep Row 2. Row 7: With MC, rep Row 3. Row 8: With B, ch 1, sc in each of first 5 sts; * Longhdc, sc in next st, Longhdc, sc in each of next 3 sts; rep from * across, ending with sc in each of last 5 sts; turn. Rows 9-11: Rep Rows 5-7. Row 12: With C, rep Row 4. Rows 13-15: Rep Rows 5-7. Row 16: With A, rep Row 8. Rows 17-19: Rep Rows 5-7. Row 20: With B, rep Row 4. Rows 21-23: Rep Rows 5-7. Row 24: With C, rep Row 8. Row 25: Rep Row 5. Rep Rows 2-25 three times more, then rep Rows 2-18 one more time. Fasten off.

3. Edging. Rnd 1: Join A in any corner st, ch 1, 3 sc in same st. Sc evenly around sides, working 3 sc in corners; join to first sc. Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in each sc around, working 3 sc in each corner sc; join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off. Rnd 3: Note: Adjust the number of skipped sts as necessary to end as instructed. Join MC in any corner sc, 3 -- counts as dc; 2 dc in same st. * Sk next 2 sc, sc in next sc, sk next 2 sc, 5 dc in next sc; rep from * around; end with 2 dc in same st as first sl st; join with sl st to top of beg ch-3. Fasten off.
