Skill Level: Easy

Size: Child's 4-6 (8-10 or average woman)
Note: Sizes for most Better Homes and Gardens knitting projects are noted in the instructions. When one size is written out in capitalized letters, it is to note the size of the modeled garment. The instructions are written for the smallest size with changes for larger sizes in parentheses. When only one number is given, it applies to all sizes. For ease in working, before you begin, circle the numbers pertaining to the size you are knitting or crocheting.

Finished Sizes:
Circumference: 6 3/4 (7 1/2, 8) inches
Length: 11 3/4 (13 1/2, 15) inches


What You Need

  • Patons, Look at Me, 60% acrylic/40% nylon, sport weight yarn (152 yards per skein): For Solid Color Socks: 2 skeins of Fun 'n Games (6377) or Bright Lilac (6383). For Striped Socks: 1 skein each of Peacock (6370) for MC and Green Apple (6362) for A
  • Size 5 (3.75 mm) set of four double-pointed knitting needles (dpn) or size needed to obtain gauge
  • Yarn needle


In St st (knit every rnd), 24 sts and 32 rnds = 4 inches/10 cm. TAKE TIME TO CHECK YOUR GAUGE!
