Foundation Row (RS): Hdc in 3rd ch from hook, hdc in each ch across, 79 (87) sts; turn.

Pat Row: Ch 2, hdc in back lp of first st; *hdc in front lp of next st, hdc in back lp of next st; rep from * across; turn.

Rep Pat Row until work from beg measures approx 6 (7) inches, ending with a WS row.

Ch 2, work in pat across first 15 (17) sts; turn, leaving rem sts unworked. Work even for 5 (7) more rows.

Neck Shaping Row 1 (RS): Sl st in first 5 (6) sts, ch 2, pat to end of row, 10 (11) sts; turn.

Row 2: Ch 2, pat to last 2 sts, hdc2tog; turn.

Row 3: Ch 2, hdc2tog, pat to end of row; turn.

Row 4: Pat across 8 (9) sts; fasten off.

With RS facing, sk 8 sts from right front, join MC with sl st in next st, ch 2, hdc in same st; pat across next 32 (36) sts; turn and leave rem sts unworked. Cont in pat on 33 (37) sts for 8 (10) more rows.

Neck Shaping Next Row (WS): Ch 2, hdc in first 8 (9) sts; fasten off. With WS facing, sk center 17 (19) sts, join MC with sl st in next st, ch 2, hdc in same st, pat to end of row; fasten off.

With RS facing, sk 8 sts from back, join MC with sl st in next st, ch 2, hdc in same st, pat to end of row; turn. Cont in pat on these 15 (17) sts to correspond to Right Front, reversing neck shaping.
