Hooded Sweatshirt Pullover

Featuring single crochet and trimmed with edging that looks like blanket stitching, this easy hooded sweatshirt is just the cover-up for a crisp, fall day.

What You Need

Skill Level Beginner

Sizes 4 (6, 8, 10, 12) Shown in Size 6. When only one number is given, it applies to all sizes.

Finished Measurements Chest = 26 (29 1/2, 32 1/2, 34 1/2, 38) inches Length = 14 (16, 17 1/2, 19 1/2, 22 1/2) inches

Yarns

  • Lion Brand Cotton-Ease; 50% cotton, 50% acrylic; worsted weight; 3-1/2 oz. (100 g), 207 yds.
  • 3 (3, 4, 5, 5) balls #107 Candy Blue (MC)
  • 1 ball #158 Pineapple (A)
  • 1 ball #113 Cherry (B)

Hook and Extra

  • Size I/9 (5.5 millimeters) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
  • Blunt-end yarn needle

Gauge

  • 15 sts and 15 rows = 4 inches (10 centimeters)
  • Take time to check your gauge.

Special Pattern Stitch

Seed St (worked over an odd number of sts)

Row 1: Ch 1, sc in first sc; *sc in next ch-1 sp, ch 1; rep from * across; end with sc in last ch-1 sp, sc in last sc; turn.

Row 2 (RS): Ch 1, sc in first sc; *ch 1, sc in ch-1 sp; rep from * across; end with sc in last ch-1 sp, ch 1, sk sc, sc in last sc; turn.

Rep Rows 1 and 2 for Seed St pat.
