Head

Beg at tip of nose, ch 2.

Rnd 1 (RS): 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook; join with sl st to first sc.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each sc around -- 12 sc; join.

Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in first 5 sc, 2 sc in each of next 3 sc, sc in last 4 sc -- 15 sc; join.

Rnd 4: Ch 1, sc in first 6 sc, 2 sc in each of next 3 sc, sc in last 6 sc -- 18 sc; join.

Rnds 5-7: Ch 1, sc in each sc around; join.

Rnd 8: Ch 1, sc in first 6 sc, 2 sc in each of next 6 sc, sc in last 6 sc -- 24 sc; join.

Rnd 9: Ch 1, sc in each sc around; join.

Rnd 10: Ch 1, sc in first 11 sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in last 12 sc -- 25 sc; join.


Body

Turn work, cont in rows as foll:

Row 1 (WS): Work Row 1 of Bobble pat.

Row 2: Ch 1, (sc in next 8 sc, 2 sc in next sc) twice, sc in last 7 sc -- 27 sc; turn.

Row 3: Work Row 3 of Bobble pat.

Row 4: Ch 1, (sc in next 8 sc, 2 sc in next sc) twice, sc in last 9 sc -- 29 sc; turn.

Row 5: Work Row 1 of Bobble pat.

Row 6: Ch 1, (sc in 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 4 times, sc in last 5 sc -- 33 sc; turn. Cont in Bobble pat and inc 1 st each end of next 2 RS rows and include new sts into pat -- 37 sts. Work even until piece from tip of nose measures approx 11 inches ending with Row 1 or Row 3 of Bobble pat.

Back Shaping (cont Bobble pat) Row 1 (RS): Ch 1, sc in first 15 sts, sc2tog, sc3tog, sc2tog, sc in last 15 sts -- 33 sts; turn.

Row 2: Work even.

Row 3: Ch 1, sc in first 13 sts, sc2tog, sc3tog, sc2tog, sc in last 13 sts -- 29 sts; turn.

Row 4: Work even.

Row 5: Ch 1, sc in first 11 sts, sc2tog, sc3tog, sc2tog, sc in last 11 sts -- 25 sts; turn.

Row 6: Work even.

Row 7: Ch 1, sc in first 9 sts, sc2tog, sc3tog, sc2tog, sc in last 9 sts -- 21 sts; fasten off. Fold last row in half and sew tog. Place markers 1 1/2 inches on either side of seam at open edges.
