Row 3: Work Row 3 of Bobble pat.

Row 4: Ch 1, (sc in next 8 sc, 2 sc in next sc) twice, sc in last 9 sc -- 29 sc; turn.

Row 5: Work Row 1 of Bobble pat.

Row 6: Ch 1, (sc in 5 sc, 2 sc in next sc) 4 times, sc in last 5 sc -- 33 sc; turn. Cont in Bobble pat and inc 1 st each end of next 2 RS rows and include new sts into pat -- 37 sts. Work even until piece from tip of nose measures approx 11 inches ending with Row 1 or Row 3 of Bobble pat.

Back Shaping (cont Bobble pat) Row 1 (RS): Ch 1, sc in first 15 sts, sc2tog, sc3tog, sc2tog, sc in last 15 sts -- 33 sts; turn.

Row 2: Work even.

Row 3: Ch 1, sc in first 13 sts, sc2tog, sc3tog, sc2tog, sc in last 13 sts -- 29 sts; turn.

Row 4: Work even.

Row 5: Ch 1, sc in first 11 sts, sc2tog, sc3tog, sc2tog, sc in last 11 sts -- 25 sts; turn.

Row 6: Work even.

Row 7: Ch 1, sc in first 9 sts, sc2tog, sc3tog, sc2tog, sc in last 9 sts -- 21 sts; fasten off. Fold last row in half and sew tog. Place markers 1 1/2 inches on either side of seam at open edges.

Body Base

Ch 10. Row 1 (RS): Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across -- 9 sc; turn.

Row 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in first sc, sc in each sc across, ending 2 sc in last sc -- 11 sc; turn. Cont in sc on 11 sts until piece measures approx 4 1/2 inches from beg, ending with a WS row.

Side Shaping Row 1: Ch 1, sc2tog, sc in each sc across, ending sc2tog; turn.

Rows 2-4: Ch 1, sc in each sc across; turn. Rep last 4 rows 3 times more -- 3 sc turn.

Next Row: Ch 1, sc in 3 sc; turn.

Last Row: Ch 1, sc3tog; fasten off.

Legs (make 4)

Ch 2. Rnd 1 (RS): 6 sc in 2nd ch from hook; join with sl st to first sc.

Rnd 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in each sc around -- 12 sc; join.

Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in back lp of each sc around; join.

Rnds 4 and 5: Ch 1; sc in each sc around; join.

Rnd 6: Ch 1, (sc in 2 sc, sc2tog) 3 times -- 9 sc; join.

Rnds 7-9: Ch 1, sc in each sc around; join. After Rnd 9, fasten off. Stuff legs.

Tail

Ch 2. Rnd 1 (RS): 4 sc in 2nd ch from hook; join with sl st to first sc.

Rnds 2-5: Ch 1, sc in each sc around; join. Fasten off at end of Rnd 5. Stuff tail.

Ears (make 2)

Ch 5. With RS facing, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 2 ch, 4 hdc in last ch; working along opposite side of foundation ch, sc in next 3 ch; fasten off.

Leaving an opening for stuffing, sew base to body, matching point of base at neck and matching corners of foundation row to markers on body. Stuff; sew opening closed. Sew back legs to base 1 row from side and back sc edges. Sew front legs to base close to 4th bobble row. Position ears behind first bobble row and bet 3rd and 4th bobbles and centered behind 7th bobble; sew in place. Center tail onto hind end behind 13th bobble row and sew in place.

Features Refer to photo and use tapestry yarn for embroidery.

For nose: Make 5 straight sts from center of Rnd 1 down to beg of Rnd 2.

For mouth: Make 1 long straight st on either side of nose, over Rnd 2 with 3 sc bet.

For eyes: Make 5 straight sts slightly angled to outside, using nose as center mark and 3 sc between on Rnd 6.

For brows: Make 5 stem sts in rnd above each eye and add 3 straight sts at outer edges for eyelashes.
