5. Short Row Shaping Row 1: Sc in next 32 sc, sl st in next sc; turn. Row 2: Ch 1, sk sl st, sc in next 28 sc, sl st in next sc; turn. Row 3: Ch 1, sk sl st, sc in next 24 sc, sl st in next sc; turn.

Cont to work in this manner, crocheting 4 less sts each row until 4 sts rem, sl st in next sc; turn. Sc evenly around leg. Fasten off.

Stuff Legs. Sew legs to lower body 4.5 inches apart with the short sides to inside and angling them to the rear.

6. Ears (make 2) With B, ch 5. Rep Rnds 1-4 of Leg Pat. Rnd 5: Sl st in each sc around. Fasten off. Sew ears 6 inches apart at top of Head.

7. Snout. With A, work as for Legs through Rnd 5. Rnd 6: Sc in each sc around. Fasten off.

8. Nose. With B, ch 2; work 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook; turn. Row 2: Ch 1, sc in first sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in last sc. Fasten off. Sew Nose to center of Snout. With B, embroider mouth with chain sts, just beneath nose. Firmly stuff Snout. Center Snout onto face, skipping 2 color A rnds for neck.

9. Eye Patches (make 2). With B, work as for Legs through Rnd 3. Fasten off. With A, satin stitch several times over 2 sts at an angle to make eye. Rep to make second eye. Spacing patches approx 2 inches apart and resting on snout, sew Eye Patches in place.

10. Arms (make 2). With B, ch 20. Keeping ch untwisted, join with sl st to form a ring. Place marker. Work 16 sc rnds on 20 sts, moving marker at end of each rnd.

Dec Rnds: (Sc in sc, sc2tog) around and around until 9 sts rem. Fasten off. Stuff arms. Sew openings closed. Flatten the seams and sew them to Upper Body at an angle.
