Instructions 6-10
6. Assemble. Sew Head to Body. Sew Front Legs to body angled toward front. Sew Back Legs 3 inches from Front Legs and 1 inch apart. Sew these angled toward the back.
7. Headscarf. With A, ch 4; join with sl st to form ring. Rnd 1: Ch 3 -- counts as dc; 2 dc in ring, ch 2; (3 dc in ring, ch 2) 3 times; join with sl st in 3rd ch of beg ch-3. Fasten off. Rnd 2: With RS facing, join B with sl st in any ch-2 sp; ch 3 -- counts as dc; in same sp work 2 dc, ch 2 and 3 dc; * ch 1, in next ch-2 sp work (3 dc, ch 2 and 3 dc); rep from * twice more; end with ch 1; join to top of beg ch-3. Fasten off. Rnd 3: With RS facing, join C in any ch-2 sp, ch 1, 3 sc in same sp; * sc in next 3 dc, sc in ch-1 sp, sc in next 3 dc **, 3 sc in corner ch-2 sp; rep from * around, ending last rep at **; join with sl st in first sc. Fasten off.
8. Fringe (make 4 -- 2 of color A, 2 of color B) For each fringe, cut two 6-inch strands of one color. Knot a fringe to each corner of the headscarf, alternating colors; trim ends. Sew Headscarf to top of Head.
9. Blanket. With C, ch 24. Row 1: With B, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across; turn -- 23 sts. Row 2: With A, ch 1, sc in each sc across; turn. Row 3: With C, ch 1, sc in each sc across; turn. Row 4: With B, ch 1, sc in each sc across; turn. Rep Rows 2-4 four times more. Rep Row 2 again. Fasten off.
Make 10 fringe along each long edge of blanket, alternating colors and using two 6" strands to make each fringe. Trim ends. Sew Blanket to Back with fringed edges hanging down.
10. Finishing. With C, make a French knot for each eye, 1 inch from Trunk and spaced 1.75 inches apart.
11. Tail. Cut three 10-inch lengths of MC. Hold strands tog and pull them around one sc 6 rnds from Rnd 1 of Body. Line up ends and divide into 3 groups of 2 strands each. Braid for 2 inches; tie overhand knot at the end of each braid. Trim ends.

This has been such a fun project....I was so happy to be able to complete it, and hope to tackle more intermediate projects in the future.
