1. BOOTIES (make 2). Sole Ch 13 (15). Rnd 1: 3 sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 10 (12) ch; 3 sc in last ch. Working along opposite side of ch, sc in next 10 (12) ch; join with sl st to first sc. Rnd 2: Ch 1, sc in same sc as last sl st, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 12 (14) sc, 3 sc in next sc, sc in next 11 (13) sc; join. Rnd 3: Ch 1, sc in same sc as last sl st, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 12 (14) sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 11 (13) sc; join -- 34 (38) sc. Rnd 4: Ch 1, sc in same sc as last sl st, (2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc) twice, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 12 (14) sc, (2 sc in next sc, sc in next sc) twice, 2 sc in next sc, sc in next 11 (13) sc; join -- 40 (44) sc.

2. All Sizes. Working in back lps only, ch 2 -- counts as hdc; hdc in each sc around; join with sl st to first hdc. Note: Ch-2 at beg of row or rnd always counts as first hdc. Next 3 Rnds: Working in both lps, ch 2 -- counts as hdc; hdc in each hdc around; join with sl st to first hdc.

3. Shape Toe. Sk next hdc, hdc in next 5 hdc, sk next hdc, sl st in each of next 2 hdc; turn. Next Row: Sk first 2 sl st, hdc in next 5 hdc, sk next hdc, sl st in next 2 hdc; turn. Rep last row 4 times more, ending last row with sk next hdc, sl st in next hdc; turn.

4. Cuff. Rnd 1: Ch 2, hdc in next 5 hdc, 3 dc in next hdc, hdc in next 16 (20) hdc across back of Bootie, 3 hdc in next hdc; join with sl st in top of ch-2 at beg of rnd (first hdc) -- 28 (32) hdc. Rnd 2: Ch 2, hdc in each hdc around; join. Rnd 3: Ch 4 -- counts as dc and ch-1; * dc in next hdc, ch 1, sk next hdc; rep from * around; join last ch-1 with sl st to 3rd ch of beg ch-4. Rnd 4: Ch 1, sc in same st as last sl st; * sc in next ch-1 sp, (ch 3, sl st in top of last sc -- Picot made), sc in next dc; rep from * around; end with sc and Picot in last ch-1 sp; join with sl st to first sc. Fasten off. Thread half of the narrow ribbon through Rnd 2 so it will tie at front of bootie. Make second bootie.
