Car Seat Blanket, Bonnet & Booties
It's hard to know what to give a new mom and baby, but here's a great idea (or three).
What You Need
SKILL LEVEL: Intermediate
SIZES: 3 (6) months. Shown in Size 3 months. When only one number is given, it applies to both sizes.
Finished Measurements
- Bootie Length = 3.75 (4.5) inches
- Bonnet = 14 (16.75) inches around top of head and 6.5 (7.5) inches deep
- Blanket = 37 x 38 inches
Yarns
- Bernat Baby Coordinates; 75.2% acrylic/22.2% acetate/2.6% nylon, sport weight; 6 ounces (170 grams), 471 yards.
- 1 ball #1000 White for Booties and Bonnet
- 3 balls #1000 White for Blanket
Hooks and Extras
- Size G/6 (4.00 millimeters) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
- 1 yard of 1/8-inch-wide ribbon
- 1.5 yards of 5/8-inch-wide ribbon
Gauge
- 16 sc and 10 rows = 4 inches/10 centimeters for Booties and Bonnet
- 18 sts and 19 rows = 4 inches/10 centimeters for Blanket
