Creative Puff-Sleeve Jacket
Sew shoulder seams.
With RS facing and smaller hook, join yarn with sl st at bottom corner of Right Front and work one row of sc evenly up front edge, 3 sc in corner of neck edge, sc evenly around neck edge to opposite corner, 3 sc in corner, and sc evenly down Left Front edge. Fasten off. Sew side and Sleeve seams. Set in Sleeves. Sew on buttons.
With larger hook, ch 8. Row 1 (RS): Hdc in 3rd ch from hook, hdc in each ch across--6 hdc; turn. Row 2: Ch 2, hdc in each hdc across; turn. Rep last row until Belt measures 38 (40/42, 44/46) inches. Fasten off. Place ribbon along WS of Belt; trim ribbon, leaving approx 1 inch free at each end. Sew sides of ribbon in position using matching sewing thread and sewing needle. Fold one end of Belt around center of buckle and sew in position. Fold other end of Belt diagonally to WS to form point and sew in position. On WS, mark positions for Belt holes and make small hole through ribbon only; the buckle will easily fit through yarn on RS of Belt.
