Yarn

  • Soft Boucle from Bernat (Art. 161026) 97% acrylic, 3% polyester; 5 oz. (140 g); 255 yds. (233 m); chunky weight
  • 4 (4, 5, 5, 6) balls #26949 Westport Shades

Hook and Extras

  • Size K/10-1/2 (6.5 mm) crochet hook or size needed to obtain gauge
  • Size I/9 (5.5 mm) crochet hook
  • Five 1-inch-diameter buttons
  • 2-inch buckle
  • 1 (1-1/4, 1-1/4, 1-1/2, 1-1/2) yards of 1-1/2-inch-wide grosgrain ribbon
  • Sewing needle and matching thread
  • Blunt-end yarn needle

Gauge

  • 11 hdc and 7 rows = 4 inches (10 cm) with larger hook. Take time to check your gauge.

Stitch Abbreviation

  • Hdc2tog: (yo, draw up lp in next st) twice; yo, draw through all lps on hook.
    Note: Ch-2 for turning ch does not count as hdc.
