In-The-Swim Beach Pail

Make a snazzy pail for your trips
to the beach this summer.

• Pail
• Acrylic paints in desired colors
• Paintbrush
• Pencil
• Tracing paper
• Scissors
• Jumbo rickrack

1. Download the free patterns for this project. (Downloading requires Adobe Acrobat software.)

2. Paint the background areas of the pail, painting a yellow stripe on the top and bottom with white in between. Let dry.

3. Trace the patterns (pdf). Cut out. Trace around the shapes on the pail using the photo, left, as a guide. For the zigzag, trace the edges of a piece of jumbo rickrack. Paint in the details. Let dry.
