Embellish a Lampshade

Customize a lampshade for the fisherman in the house. Buy fishing bobbers and sinkers at sporting goods stores. If your kids are old enough, show them how to sew the bobbers to a paper lampshade. Make sure to use heavyweight thread the same color as the shade. Repeat until shade is complete. (For tiny tots, let them pick the order of the bobbers and sinkers, then let Mom do the sewing.)
