Half Cross-Stitch

The half cross-stitch is just what its name implies -- half a cross-stitch.

A half cross-stitch is simply one single diagonal part, or half of a cross-stitch. Half cross-stitches usually are listed under a separate heading in the color key and are indicated on the chart by a colored diagonal line. The direction of the line indicates the desired direction of the stitch.
