Backstitches

Add this essential stitch to your repertoire.


Backstitches define and outline the shapes in a design. For most cross-stitch projects, backstitches require only one ply of floss. On the color key, (2X) behind the mention of a certain area indicates you should backstitch with two plies of floss, (3X) indicates three plies, etc.
