Painted Leaf Place Mat

Kiwi, cream, and tangerine set this exotic table. Use painter's tape to evenly space the napkin stripes. Leave the tape in place while you paint to get crisp edges; peel back a bit on each strip as you paint if you want a freehand finish.

Crafts Supplies for Painted Leaf Place Mat

What you'll need:
  • Purchased orange fabric place mat
  • Acrylic crafts paints (We used Plaid Apple
    Barrel Kiwi #20221 and Satin Cream #20585.)
  • Low-tack painter's tape
  • Dritz Disappearing Mark-B-Gone tracing paper
  • Plain paper
  • Clip art leaf design for pattern
  • Pencil or pen
  • Delta Ceramcoat textile medium
  • Brushes: #6 and #10 stiff-bristle, 3/8-inch
    angle shader
