Celebration Birthday Card

Perfect for a little one's birthday, this foam card announces an important year.

What You Need:

Attach to your gift to make the
little one's birthday visually
stimulating.

Tracing paper; pencil
Scissors; 1/4-inch-thick colored crafting foam
1/8-inch-thick white crafting foam
Tape; thick white crafts glue; paintbrush
Tube-style fabric paint in desired colors
Decorative-edge scissors
Purchased envelope or paper and glue stick

Instructions:

2. Create your own pattern by combining the cake pattern, and whichever number(s) needed. Trace patterns onto tracing paper, cut out, tape together, and trace onto a piece of thick foam. Trace cake piece onto white foam. Cut out pieces with scissors.

3. Spread crafts glue on front of cake section of colored foam base. Align and glue white foam on base.

4. Paint the sides of the foam. Decorate the cake and number(s) using fabric paints. Let dry.

5. For the envelope, choose a purchased one or use the downlodable patterns. Use decorative-edge scissors to cut a contrasting paper strip and glue on the envelope flap.
