Bee Neat Toy Container
- 5-gallon cardboard ice-cream tub
- Patterns in the pattern packet
- Paints listed in the palette
- 2 each of 1/2-inch- and 3/4-inch-diameter wooden discs
- Vinyl place mat
- Flat, round, and liner paintbrushes
- 1 yard each of 3 grosgrain ribbons in desired colors and patterns
- Aleene's Platinum Bond 7800 Glue
- Satin Varnish
Aleene's Premium-Coat Acrylic paint: Black OC176, Deep Green OC140 (DG), Electric Blue OC218 (EB), Maize OC215 (MZ), Medium Blue OC150 (MB), Medium Fuchsia OC168 (MF), Medium Green OC138 (MG), Medium Turquoise OC144 (MT), True Blue OC151 (TB), True Fuschia OC169 (TF), True Green OC139 (TG), True Lime OC133 (TM), True Orange OC115 (TO), True Red OC103 (TR), True Turquoise OC145 (TT), True Violet OC163 (TV), True Yellow OC127 (TY), and White OC173 Aleene's Essentials paint: Blush OC183 (BL), Holiday Green OC181 (HG), and Holiday Red(OC180 (HR) Tulip 3D Slick paint: Black 65038, Golden Yellow 65003, Kiwi 65171, Pink 65010, Purple 65018, True Red 65130, and White 65000 Tulip 3D Pearl paint: Clover 65172, Orange 65049, Peppermint 65053, and Purple 65058
Instructions:1. Base-coat the ice-cream tub MG. Base-coat the discs HR. Transfer the patterns; cut them out of the vinyl place mat. Base-coat the bee's body and head TY and the wings White; the spiders body and legs Black and the face BL; and the worm's head TF and the body TB and TF. Paint TB dots on the spider, outline the dots with TF. Paint Black zigzag stripes on the bee's body. Add Black dots for the eyes on the spider, the bee, and the worm.
2. Make Black and TY dots on the worm. Using paint thinned with water to ink consistency, paint TG and MG grass on the container. Dot daisy centers with TF and the petals with TY. Paint TF flowers, and make 3-dot TB flowers. Glue all pieces to the container. Dilute Black with water to ink consistency, and paint stitching lines around the bee?s wings. Varnish. Let dry. Tie ribbon into bows; glue them onto the toy container.
