What You Need:

These vibrant birthday trinkets make perfect gifts for friends.
  • 2--2 mm sterling silver crimp beads
  • 1--12-inch piece of .018-inch-diameter stainless-steel beading wire
  • 1 medium sterling silver toggle clasp
  • Crimping tool
  • Wire cutters
  • 6--4 mm seamless, smooth sterling silver beads
  • 8--6 mm seamless, smooth sterling silver beads
  • 10--4 mm sterling silver beaded rondelle spacer beads
  • 4--5 mm sterling silver rondelle spacer beads
  • 8--6 mm Swarovski square crystal beads in desired color to represent month
  • 4--8 mm Swarovski square crystal beads in color above or birthstone color
  • To increase or decrease length, add or remove 5 mm sterling silver rondelle spacer beads and 4 mm seamless, smooth sterling silver beads.

Instructions:

1. Thread a crimp bead on one end of beading wire, pass wire through the end of toggle clasp, and run wire back through the crimp bead in the opposite direction. Flatten the crimp bead firmly. Trim the end.

2. Thread the beads in the following order: 3--4 mm smooth silver beads 1--6 mm smooth silver bead 1--4 mm silver rondelle spacer bead 1--6 mm square crystal bead 1--4 mm silver rondelle spacer bead 1--8 mm square crystal bead 1--4 mm silver rondelle spacer bead 1--6 mm square crystal bead 1--6 mm smooth silver bead 1--5 mm silver rondelle spacer bead 1--6 mm smooth silver bead 1--6 mm square crystal bead 1--4 mm silver rondelle spacer bead 1--8 mm square crystal bead 1--4 mm silver rondelle spacer bead 1--6 mm square crystal bead 1--6 mm smooth silver bead 1--5 mm silver rondelle spacer bead Continue pattern until all the beads are used.

3. Thread a crimp bead on the end of the wire and pass it through the remaining clasp. Run wire back through crimp bead in opposite direction. Flatten crimp bead. Trim end.
