Script Star Christmas Ornament
- Drill and 1/16-inch bit
- 4-inch-tall balsa-wood star
- Wood stain
- Rubber stamp: French script
- Ink pad: black
- Crafts glue
- German glass glitter: silver
- 22-gauge wire: silver
- 3/4-inch vintage button: pearl
- 5/8-inch-diameter round crystal
- 1-1/2-inch-long teardrop crystal
Prepare the Star
Drill a small hole at both the top and bottom of star (see photo, above). Stain star on both sides, and let dry.
Stamp image on both sides of star using black ink. Apply a bead of crafts glue around the edge of the star; sprinkle star with glass glitter (see photo, above).
Add the Hanging Loop
Thread and center a vintage button onto a 7-inch length of wire. Loop one wire end around your pinkie finger, then wrap excess wire back around itself between the loop and the button. Thread opposite wire end through top hole in star, wrapping excess wire back around itself between the star and button.
Link the two crystals together with wire, wrapping excess wire around itself between the two crystals (see photo, above). Trim excess wire. Thread a 2-inch length of wire through the top of the round crystal and through the bottom hole in the star; twist together wire ends. Trim excess wire.
