Wooden Stocking Ornament for the Christmas Tree

Stockings are not only for the holiday mantel. Create a wooden stocking ornament to hang in the Christmas tree.

What You?ll Need:

How to Make It:

  • Unscrew the screw eyes and jingle bells from the ornament. Paint the stocking bright red and the stocking cuff white; let dry.
  • Trace the ornament shape onto patterned paper and cut it out. Brush a coat of crafts glue onto the stocking and adhere the paper cutout in place; let dry. Apply two or three coats of glaze to the entire stocking front, letting it dry between coats.
  • Reattach the jingle bells. Cut a length of satin ribbon, form a loop, and hot-glue the loop ends in place on the stocking cuff. Cut another length of satin ribbon, tie in a bow, and hot-glue in place.

I love alot of the ideas here but with some there are no patterns-painting snow scene on balls, stocking and so on. Not everyone has the talent to paint free hand or to make and cut out a design. Patterns should be included with all ideas.
