Folded Paper Wreath Christmas Tree Ornament
- Scrapbook or wrapping papers in coordinating prints or other selected papers
- White glue
- Toothpick
- Scissors or paper cutter
- Hanging thread
- Tiny buttons or jingle bells
- Sequins or acrylic gemstones
- Ribbon
- Holly cutouts or other desired trims
- Cut and fold paper according to the pattern.
- Alternate papers as desired or use a one-color paper scheme. Connect enough pieces for wreath. As you work, gently coax the folded paper chain into a curve. The pieces will slide a little to accommodate the curve if it is not too severe.
- Add ribbon bow, sequins for holly berries, cutout holly leaves, small buttons, hanging thread, or other trims as desired. Note: To make cutting quicker, cut paper in multiples of the length needed; fold and then cut individual pieces from the folded length.

The downloadable pattern is pretty useless without measurements. Although we could experiment and figure out what we needed, I feel it is bad form to post this without thorough and complete instructions. As Donald Trump would say, "Your're Fired!"
12/22/2011 08:58:46 PM Report AbuseIf I remember correctly, we made these paper chains from the paper gum was wrapped in. So, think about the size of a gum wrapper for the size of the paper. Hope this helps.

2/14/2011 11:28:23 PM Report AbuseI have written helpful instructions but this site refuses to accept because rather lengthy. Thanks for the trip down memory lane from 60 years ago. If you need my textfile, email me at steve8rox@gmail.com
2/14/2011 11:25:44 PM Report AbuseTerrible instructions. No sizes. I used an 8.5x11 and after folding cut it in half. 1/2 the folding makes for a faster craft.
