Clothespin Snowflake and Crafts-Stick Snowflake

Our contemporary take on classic Swedish straw ornaments combines crafts sticks or clothespins with wood rounds to create different snowflake forms.

What You Need
Clothespin Snowflake

Craft-Stick Snowflake

  • Eight crafts sticks
  • Glue gun and hotmelt adhesive
  • Small- and medium-size wooden circles
  • 1/2-inch-diameter button plug

How to Make It
Clothespin Snowflake

Glue the clothespins to the medium-size wooden circle, positioning them near the outside edge. Glue the small round shape to the center front of the snowflake, then glue the button plug in the center of the round.

Craft-Stick Snowflake

Overlap crafts sticks to form a snowflake shape and glue to the medium-size wooden circle. Glue the small-size wooden circle in the center of the snowflake and a button plug on top of that.

Could you have possibly explained how to create edges in the craft sticks instead of assuming we knew how?
