I have a bit of a sweet tooth. Well, that’s an understatement. I actually have a huge sweet tooth. I hate to admit it, but there have been several occasions when I’ve found myself eating leftover birthday cake for breakfast and loving every last bite of it. Often, this sweet tooth of mine leaves me craving dessert after dinner. Unfortunately, I don’t always have birthday cake on hand, so I’m always on the hunt for easy and delicious treats.
One of my favorite things to whip up, especially in the summer, is a Single Serving Berry Trifle. Other than whipping some fresh heavy cream, everything else is purchased ready to eat from the store. These trifles were inspired by BHG’s individual Brownie Trifles with a few variations to the ingredients.
I picked up some brownies, angel food cake, fresh berries, and chocolate sauce. In less than five minutes, I made a batch of homemade whipped cream. Isn’t the homemade stuff the best? Using a parfait glass, water goblet, or even a mason jar, just layer the ingredients in the container. If you are serving these to a group of people, set out all of the ingredients in little dishes or on a large cutting board and allow your guests to assemble their own trifles. They will have a blast creating their own unique combinations!
Simple, sweet, and packed with delicious ingredients, these trifles will please a crowd or cure just a single sweet tooth!
