BHG Delish Dish

Stirring Up Ideas In The Kitchen

Dips

Happy Friday! Can you believe it’s already August? School will be starting soon and every one will be getting back into their old schedules, but I think the summer still has a few more parties left in it! I found some awesome dips that will please all of your party guests!

Greek dishes will always have my heart (and stomach). This Garlicky Feta Dip found on Host the Toast Blog looks perfect if you’re looking to “travel” but don’t have the funds!

Lemon desserts always make my day! The lightness of the citrus is a great alternative to a heavy dessert. Try this Lemon Cream Pie Cheesecake Dip with vanilla wafers from Food, Folks and Fun for an easy summer treat.

Damn Delicious brings all the best flavors of summer in this incredible Bacon Corn Dip. Really, it has everything.

If you’ve read my Friday Finds before, you know just how much I adore a good guac. Two Peas & Their Pod brings the flavor in a yummy Green Chile and Roasted Tomato Guacamole, which is perfect for a warm summer’s night. (And goes well with a margarita or two!)

Sometimes a rainy night can ruin campfire plans, or if you’re like me you avoid the outside because you just really hate mosquitoes. Either way, Simple Green Moms solved your s’more fix if you can’t get outside! Simple S’more Dip is easy and delicious.

Do you have a favorite dip for the summertime? Besides a dip in the pool?

Here’s the thing, I’m not a big football fan. Yes, it’s true; I’m one of those folks who have no idea which teams are playing in the Super Bowl until I actually get to the party. Though, what I lack in terms of interest in the game, I think I make up for through my enthusiasm for party food. Whether it’s a delicious dip, a decadent dessert, or a delightful delicacy (something wrapped in bacon!?) – I’m all over it!  With the holidays more than a month behind us, I’m up for any excuse to get together with friends and family, break our diets, and pig out. (I love watching the commercials, too.) As you know, BHG has been creating fabulous recipes for years. Many have become family favorites and others have yet to be explored. So, in celebration of the upcoming biggest game of the year, I have pulled together a number of recipes for game day. Whether you are watching the game, or just the commercials, enjoy the food as you connect with your family and friends!

Cheers!

For me, Christmas has been, and always will be about family. After college, I moved from my small town to a big city. What I missed the most were holidays at home. Five years later, I’m so thankful to be back in my hometown and able to once again spend the holidays with my family. And, if there are two things my family knows how to do, it’s cook and eat! While my family has lots of traditions, the one I probably look forward to the most is our Christmas Eve celebration at my mom’s house. Presents are piled under the tree in order by recipients’ ages, Christmas lights and decorations sparkle throughout the house, and the kitchen is overflowing with desserts, cookies, and my personal favorite, appetizers!

Have you ever heard people say they could make a meal of appetizers? Well, I am one of those people. If you can dip it or pick it up with a toothpick, count me in! So, in celebration of Christmas, our families, and my love of appetizers, I dug through the BHG recipe archive and found recipes for twelve mouthwateringly delicious appetizers. I know these recipes will keep your family coming back for more.

1. Pimiento Cheese Poppers // 2. Bourbon-Glazed Cocktail Sausages // 3. Olive-Cherry Bruschetta // 4. Tomato Quiche Tartlets // 5. Asiago Cheese Dip // 6. Jalapeno, Crab, and Corn Dip // 7. Meatball Sliders // 8. Cranberry-Barbecue Meatballs // 9. Double-Quick Shrimp Cocktail

Scrumptious, right? No wonder most of us pack on a few pounds over the holidays. It’s hard to resist all that goodness.

Speaking of family, I wanted to share a quick and easy project that I created at my house to remind me of how much my family means to me. I’m calling it my Instamas Tree.  Instagram + Christmas. Get it? Anyway, I printed out my most meaningful Instagram photos from this past year and simply clipped them on a silver tinsel tree.

My little tree is now a memory book with lots of special moments, from hanging out with my nieces and nephews to a few personal memories. And it has easily become one of my favorite Christmas projects.

For all the details and more photographs, swing by my blog, Inspired by Charm, and say hi!

Now, I’m off to fill my plate with appetizers and clip some more pictures to my tree!

Cheers and Happy Holidays!
