Friday Finds 7.18

Hello, hello! Glad to be back here bringing Delish Dish my favorite Friday Finds! Every time I tell someone what I do at BHG, I joke that I get to look at pretty pictures of food all day. And then I realize I’m not joking at all! Every week the blogosphere amazes me with their creativity. So in honor of National Ice Cream Day tomorrow (yes it is a real thing), I found some super creative ice cream sandwich treats for you to try!

Dessert for Two brings together one of the best flavor combos with these incredible Spiced Chocolate Strawberry Ice Cream Sandwiches!

Hold the phone. Did Club Narwhal say Dulce de Leche Ice Cream Waffle Sandwiches? I’ll take 20 please.

I admit, I can do a lot of damage to a box of chocolate ice cream sandwiches. But can we quick talk about how The Girl Who Ate Everything managed to make them even better in her Ice Cream Sandwich Cake? Holy buckets.

If you’re a regular reader, you know how much I love pie. And when I saw these Blueberry Pie Ice Cream Sandwiches from The Kitchen McCabe I immediately started singing “My Favorite Things” from Sound of Music. You mean you don’t know the verse about Blueberry Pie Ice Cream Sandwiches? That’s just me? Okay, fine.

Since I was taught to eat more than my fair share of cookie dough, when I saw that Mel’s Kitchen Cafe whipped up some Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Ice Cream Sandwiches I freaked out. You heard that right, the cookie part of the sandwich is egg-free cookie dough!

Have a great time celebrating National Ice Cream Day! Let me know what you’re enjoying in the comments.

Friday Finds 6.27

Hey Delish-Dishers! Grace, here. The Fourth of July has always been one of my favorite holidays! My family used to invite the whole neighborhood over to our front yard to watch the fireworks. This week I’m sharing with you some ideas to fill out your Fourth’s menu!

Besides having dozens of people over for the Fourth, my sisters and I always had a lemonade stand that my dad built for us! We made a pretty penny each year, too. (Probably because it was a three little sisters and not for our lemonade-making skills.) I think if we used Yummy Healthy Easy‘s Easy Lemonade we would have been even more successful!

This quick and easy Watermelon, Feta and Mint Salad Bites combines all the best and lightest flavors of the summer! Adding this Madigan Made recipe to your picnic menu will please everyone!

As long as I’m around, Sriracha will remain in business. I love what the spicy sauce does to seafood! Try Dine and Dish‘s Spicy Shrimp and Avocado Salad for a flavor-packed salad!

Half Baked Harvest always amazes me with her incredible flavor combinations! And the Fourth of July always calls for a good burger, so try her Lobster Burgers with Browned Butter Lemon Aioli + Basil Corn Salsa, Bacon ‘n’ Avocado. How many ways can I say yum?

I could do four or five more blog posts dedicated to patriotic desserts, but I found this incredible Haupia Chocolate Cream Pie from Coco Cake Land thanks to my cubicle-mate, Erin! Nothing will end your Fourth of July celebration quite like this classic recipe!

Have a fabulous (and safe!) Fourth of July filled with food, friends, family, and fireworks!

Did you know that summer doesn’t officially start until tomorrow? I don’t know about you guys, but it seems like summer has been here for a while! To celebrate the official start to summer on June 21, I thought I’d share with you some of my favorite ice cream treats I’ve been finding. You’ll be sure to cool off with these yummy desserts!

Handmade Charlotte combines my favorite meal (breakfast!) with some delicious ice cream accents! Try these Waffle Ice Cream Sandwiches as a super easy dessert for any occasion.

Nothing is quite as satisfying as a fruity dessert at the end of a long, hot summer day! Will Cook for Smiles brings the flavor in this cocktail-inspired Strawberry Mojito Pops.

Who doesn’t love a summertime bonfire? Heather’s French Press combines our favorite s’more bonfire flavors in her Toasted Marshmallow Ice Cream with Fudge and Graham Swirls. I cannot wait to try this one!

Popsicles for breakfast? No way! But Mom on Timeout figures out a way to start your summer morning on the right note with these Blueberry Breakfast Parfait Pops.

I like pina coladas and getting caught in the rain! Turmeric N’Spice had me singing that song all day because of this incredible Pina Colada Sorbet.

I hope you enjoy these cool treats as much as I did! Happy summer, Delish Dish!

Friday Finds 6.6

Happy Friday! Today’s round-up is inspired by my weekend plans. I’m heading home to celebrate my grandparents’ sixtieth wedding anniversary! That’s right, 6-0. My love for food and good recipes really began with my family’s trips to Grandma Daisy and Grandpa Lenny’s house. My grandma is an incredible cook and my grandpa is an incredible taste-tester.

Every time my sisters and I slept over at Grandma’s she always made a delicious breakfast. In honor of National Donut Day, I thought I’d share these yummy Chocolate Glazed Baked Donuts recipe from Roxana’s Home Baking. They’re soft, fluffy and cake-like! Can’t beat it!

My Grandma is always trying new side dishes and because of my Grandpa’s diabetes she’s looking for healthier alternatives.  They’d both love Lil’ Luna‘s Parmesan Crusted Zucchini!

I’m sure I’ve mentioned this on the blog before, but I am a HUGE grilled cheese fan. Majorly. And my Grandma knows that, so every time I go over she’s giving me recipe clips for new grilled cheese recipes. This time I get to send her a new recipe with Foodie Crush‘s Buffalo Chicken Grilled Cheese!

Grandma and Grandpa’s house is always the gathering place when the whole family is in town. One of our Christmas traditions is to eat ham sandwiches while we’re unwrapping presents on Christmas night. I’m thinking this delicious Slow Cooker Italian Beef Sandwiches recipe could become a new tradition! Thanks Taste and Tell for the idea!

And I can’t forget about all of her incredible cookie recipes and this adorable heart-shaped Linzer Cookies from Cooking Classy seem perfectly fitting for the occasion.

Happy Anniversary Grandma and Grandpa!

Fruity drinks are the best part of any summer party! Your Southern Peach‘s Blackberry Gin Fizz looks light and fruity!

Berries make the perfect topping for any dessert. And this dessert will fit any of your party guests dietary needs. Try Blissful Basil‘s Caramel & Vanilla Cheesecake with Fresh Berries (Vegan, Gluten-Free & Paleo).
