Jane wrote to me the other day, inquiring about a glass lamp in a favorite image from the Better Homes & Gardens galleries and also appearing on page 10 of the recent publication New Cottage Style.
“Hi Kate, I have been looking at pictures of living rooms in the New Cottage Style by Better Homes and Gardens. There is a particular room that I love – it has a fireplace, and a funky bright turquoise coffee table. There are two glass table lamps – round bases with white tapering shades. Can you tell me where to find these lamps?” – Jane
From her description, I immediately knew it was this image of a picture perfect cozy coastal inspired family room.
Jane was smitten with the lamps and I did my best to find them online for her. ‘Tis true, the glass jug shape lamp has a little of everything! It’s casual, elegant, timeless, and complements every style of decor.
I was unable to track down an exact match for Jane, but I was able to locate twelve contenders in what I’ve deemed the impromptu ‘Best of Glass Lamps’ contest.
From top left: Recycled Glass Lamp, $219, Shades of Light; Gourd Lamp, $325, Williams Sonoma Home; Glass Boudoir, $35, Pier 1; Seeing Clearly Vase Lamp, $249, Wisteria; Regina Andrews lamp, $223; Layla Grace; Bordeaux Lamp, $149, Ballard Designs; Jack Table Lamp, $149, Crate + Barrel; Clear Lamp Base, $47, Target; Quinn Teardrop Glass Lamp, $454, Altogether Home; Silver Apothecary Lamp, $149, Lamps Plus; Glass Jug Lamp, $149, West Elm; Arteriors Glass and Acrylic Lamp, $528, Wayfair;
If you stumble across the perfect glass jug or vessel, you can always make a DIY version of a glass lamp with instructions from DIY Diva.
Do you know where Jane might find her dream lamp?
