A Home Office Nook with Ombré and Wallpaper

This sweet little desk setup would make a perfect space to work from a laptop, write letters, and pay bills. The drawers (painted in an of-the-moment ombré gradient) add much-needed storage and function, but the space feels just as pretty as it is practical. To achieve a similar look (think owls instead of butterflies), try the items below.

Get the Look: Ombré and Wallpaper

  1. Acrylic Desk Organizer
  2. Atoll Rectangular Mirror
  3. Peekaboo Acrylic Console Table (as Desk)
  4. Drawer Unit on Casters (Painted)
  5. Marais Side Chair
  6. Owls of the British Isles Wallpaper
  7. Lamp Shade
  8. Lamp Base

get the look: the devil wears prada.

One of my all-time favorite films is The Devil Wears Prada. Not only was it hysterically funny, the film showed great style inspiration throughout. Not just because it was all about Vogue and the fashion magazine industry, but because the set design was equally as fashionable as what they wore on their backs. Here’s how to get the look of a pretty but polished, high-powered fashion editor’s office right at home, inspired by The Devil Wears Prada.

Images: 1. Pottery Barn’s Eleanor Frameless Mirrors; 2. Vogue Print of Cecil Beaton’s photograph of Audrey Hepburn from the Condé Nast Collection. 3. West Elm’s Mirrored Parson’s Desk; 4. White Cotton Brushed Nickel Finish Swing Arm Desk Lamp from Lamps Plus; 5. Cherner® Upholstered Task Chair from Design Within Reach; 6. Vogue January 1950 Cover Print from the Condé Nast Collection; 7. And, always a fresh bouquet of white roses. But, of course!
