TREND: Pops of Bold Color

For as long as I can remember, green has always been one of my favorite colors. But not just any green. I’ve always been a fan of bright, cheerful, and happy greens. After one of the longest winters I can remember, I’m desperately longing to see that beautiful green grass that’s hiding beneath the snow. In the meantime though, as I wait for the snow to thaw, I’ll have to supplement with a little greenery indoors.

I’m absolutely loving this cheerful bedroom. Full of bright colors and bold patterns, this fresh look will certainly bring a little joy and happiness even on the dreariest of days. And how about that artwork? Wouldn’t that make such a fun DIY project? Anyway, pulling inspiration from this room, I found some grass green pieces that you could easily incorporate into your own space for a fresh new look.

TREND: Mixing Bold Colors

I confess that I have yet to start packing away my holiday decorations. Honestly, it feels like I just put them up and already it’s time to take them down. As much as I look forward to removing some of the clutter, there is a part of me that wishes I could keep my colorful holiday decor up for a few weeks longer. The bright colors and twinkling lights add a little magic, warmth, and happiness that is hard to replicate with everyday decor.

Thankfully though, bright and cheerful colors have become somewhat trendy in home decor. I especially love when rooms begin with a neutral background and are brought to life with colorful accessories. Take for example, the bedroom pictured here. Pops of dark blue, pink, and orange bring this otherwise neutral space to life. Since the colorful accessories are minimal they could be swapped out each season to give this room a fresh new look. Your bedroom will never be boring again!

One of the colors I’m loving the most from this room is the orange. As the cold winter months set in, pops of bright orange remind me of warmer and sunnier days ahead. Pulling inspiration from this happiness-inducing color, here are a few of my favorite orange accessories to brighten up your space.

TREND: Bold Color

Over the past few months, I’ve been renovating the space in my home that I now use as my office. Even though the transformation is not quite complete, I’m making the transition from office to holiday office. As I put the finishing touches on styling this space, it’s been fun to inject a little added color and sparkle to mark the holiday season.

Today, I thought I’d share my space with you and show you some products for creating a hip holiday office in your own home. As you can see, I painted the walls subdued shades for a neutral backdrop that comes alive with colorful accessories.

The neutral-colored walls along with white curtains, bookcases, and desks allow the accessories to be the stars of the room. I like this because, depending on the season or project, I can have fun playing and experimenting with a variety of colors. Being a creative type, I’m constantly moving pieces around. A neutral background gives me lots of flexibiltiy.

As you can tell by my Christmas tree, I’m not afraid of color.

So as I mentioned above, I thought I’d share a few pieces for creating a hip holiday office. If you like this look, let your creativity fly and try incorporating a few of these pieces.

TREND: Bold Color

I can’t tell you how excited I am to see bright and bold colors popping up everywhere in the design world. Whether a bright yellow table lamp, chevron blue rug, or green painted table – color is back in a big way. Being a color lover, I’m injecting as much as I can throughout my home. Color brightens a space and gives it character. Color also makes your home feel welcoming and comfortable. And I don’t know about you, but that’s the feeling I want my home to have.

One of my all-time favorite colors is bright green, whether it’s chartreuse, lime, apple, or some other shade. Experts say that green symbolizes life, nature, and well-being. Green is also considered a safe color. If you’re debating about what color to use in a particular area, go with green. I’m guessing that I’m attracted to it for its cheerfulness. It has a way of instantly bringing vitality to any space. I think this is why plants play such an important role in decorating. Their verdant leaves complement almost any decor and add a fresh, lively touch.

As you can imagine, I fell in love with the picture above because of that bright green weathered table. It’s just the thing to bring the white bathroom to life.

My fondness for bright green and bold colors inspired me to put together a collection of some of my favorite green furnishings and accessories. These unique and colorful pieces will instantly add life and pizzazz to your home. Let’s embrace bold color together and welcome it into our spaces.

And I’m dying to know, what’s your favorite color to incorporate into your home?

Happy Decorating!
