It’s easy for small rooms to feel cluttered and less inviting in your home. But while limited space can be a challenge when trying to make your home stylish and welcoming, tight spaces don’t have to be a restriction. This season, Better Homes and Gardens has great solutions for maximizing cramped quarters with a wide variety of storage and organizational products sold exclusively at Walmart.

This month, the BHG Live Better Network of Bloggers were challenged to use versatile décor to maximize a small space and make tight rooms come to life. Read on to learn more:

1.  Ashley Phipps of Simply Designing gave her kids’ bathroom a refresh. The Waffle Stripe Fabric Shower Curtain gives the bathroom some character and a mature style! If working in a small bathroom, consider a curved rod to maximize usable space.

2. Cassity of Remodelaholic transformed her mudroom to give her family more storage solutions. These Large Galvanized Silver Bins fit perfectly under a coffee table or bench, and are as stylish as they are functional.

3. Add some decorative storage pieces to your laundry closet like Chelsea of Making Home Base. She used the Gray Fabric Round Basket and the Woven Fringe Throw to give her laundry some style!

4. Welcome your guests with an inviting entryway. Liz of Hoosier Homemade added the Galvanized Wall Clock to her foyer to add to the Farmhouse Chic aesthetic in her home.

5. In need of a closet clean out? Not only is her space the definition of #ClosetInspiration, Heidi of Honeybear Lane uses the Hand- Woven Willow Laundry Hamper to easily organize laundry and separate darks and lights.

6. Stephanie of Casa Watkins transformed her daughter’s room from infant to toddler with just a few new accent pieces. The Turned Accent Lamp with White Pleated Table Lamp Shade add a pop of color to any room—and are super kid-friendly!

7. All shoes need a home! Bethany of Whoa Wait Walmart uses the Fabric Shoe Rack to keep all of her shoes near and orderly.

8. Your laundry room can be stylish and efficient just like Ashley of Cherished Bliss! She uses the Large Acacia Wood-Top Jars to hold laundry essentials and the Wicker Basket to keep her space organized.

9. Curtains always need some TLC! Brooke of All Things Thrifty uses the Clear Knob Curtain Rod Set to add a small twinkle to her daughters’ bedroom.

10. Replace a simple entryway table with functional furniture like Rebecca of the Crafted Sparrow!—She uses the 8-Cube Organizer as a cute storage solution.

11. We all need some inspiration, especially when working from our in-home offices. Ashley of Domestic Imperfection uses the Rustic Wood Picture Frames to showcase some motivating quotes.

12. Ursula of Homemade By Carmona helped make her daughter’s bedroom pretty and functional. In place of traditional pillow cases, she uses the Solid Quilted Pillow Shams to add a touch of personality.

13. When entertaining, you should utilize all available space. Destiny of Just Destiny Mag, helped her friend use the Crossmill Buffet to store extra dinner and glassware, and created interesting decor using extra serveware that can be used once party guests arrive.

14. Your family room can quickly become disorganized! Jennifer of Tatertots & Jello uses the Collapsible Fabric Storage Cubes and the Medium Wire Baskets with Chalkboards to keep track of her family’s tech supplies.

15. With so many small products, bathrooms can become the ultimate place for clutter! Angie from The Country Chic Cottage uses the Galleon Covered Bronze Jars to keep all of her tiny essentials organized.

Who doesn’t love a good makeover? I’m obsessed with them these days! From fabulous new facades to a side table turned into a cake stand, I’m always amazed by creative ideas. With my obsession in mind, I scoured countless blogs to discover my favorite furniture refreshes for this month’s Best of the Blogs feature.  Here are my top picks!

 

1. This revamped table from House of Fifty shows that little details go a long way. I’m all about gold accents right now!

2. This Ikea-hack dresser from Sarah Hearts combines two of my favorite trends: two-tone and overlays.

3. More Ikea upgrades! This one, featured on Armelle, gets a new look with fresh white paint and eye-catching hardware.

4. I’m always pleasantly surprised when people turn basic items into creative pieces. This toddler chair-turned-planter from Four Generations One Roof  is such a fun way to recycle unused furniture.

5. One thing I’m currently coveting for my work space is a colorful tray to use as a catchall. I love that this DIY tray from Simplified Bee can be customized with inexpensive wallpaper scraps.

6. I’m a sucker for all things colorful, especially this bold green chair from Young House Love. The rattan-inspired design and cheerful ikat pattern make it my ideal office chair.

7. A ladder turned into shelving? Yes, please. One of my favorite things about this makeover from A Beautiful Mess is that that you can easily remove the shelves to use the ladder for its original purpose.

8. I’m amazed at how Remodelaholic turned this inexpensive table into a console with drawers and shelves. I’m also a big fan of baskets and how they add contrast to this piece.

9. As I said, I love a pop of color. This teal table from Yellow Brick Home brightens the entire entryway and the Greek key pattern on the sides is the perfect subtle detail.

10. A touch of rustic style is a great unexpected element and these reclaimed wood tables from Kojo Designs seem incredibly simple. They also saved extra money by using wood from a fence they had just taken down!

11. I think this refreshed empire dresser from Picked and Painted is the perfect cottage style piece. The slightly distressed paint gives it a great worn in look while the glass knobs add a touch of elegance.

I’ve been obsessed with making my desk both functional and pretty these days, so I turned to some of my favorite blogs for top-notch inspiration. And look what amazing desks I found! Each one has a unique element that I can’t wait to try in my own space.

 

1. First up? The beautiful desk of Style Me Pretty‘s Abby Larson on The Everygirl

What I love about it: A desk isn’t complete without a bouquet of fresh flowers! I love the pop of color they add here, along side a cheerful lacquer box.

2. I’m crazy about this pretty space from Lindsay of Sadie and Stella

What I love about it: A bouquet of pink pencils and the vibrant drapes! Not to mention a little calligraphy art and a window view to make this space a perfect place to cross off to-do’s.

3. Jennifer at Rambling Renovators created this pretty and functional office space. 

What I love about it: The white built-in storage in this space is just what I need. Too many papers/file folders/magazines –too little time!

4. Jordan of Oh Happy Day shared shots of this unique workspace

What I love about it: The industrial-chic desk and wall color – which makes me feel like I’m floating. And who wouldn’t love spools of pretty ribbon at your fingertips?

5. It’s pretty easy to guess what I love about Shay of So Shay‘s office, featured on  Made By Girl.

What I love about it: The gold accent wall! Shay explains that she painted this wall herself and that it wasn’t as difficult as it might look. Read about how it came together here.

6. An amazing office makeover from Jenny of Little Green Notebook

What I love about it: Oh, too many things! But I especially like that Jenny gave new life to the barely green parsons desk and the red credenza. The bold red is totally unexpected, and coordinates with the window treatments and rug beautifully.

7. This office area from Style Spotter Jen of I Heart Organizing has my heart. 

What I love about it: The blue cabinet nobs and the spring-y (and perfectly organized!) file folders. I’d love for my space to look just like this.

What I love about it: The chalkboard to-do list! I’m officially on the hunt for a vintage chalkboard or frame so I can make one myself.

9. Katie of Bower Power has a bright and cheerful work space at home.  

What I love about it: The way she’s used baskets to store but conceal office essentials, and the natural light pouring in!
