Color can be intimidating to add into your space. It’s hard to figure out which color to choose and what neutral colors to mix it with. I personally am a fan of adding pops of color as statement pieces instead of adding neutral colors to bold, colorful spaces. One color that seems to make a space feel fresh and clean is yellow. Yellow has been popping up everywhere in fashion. Concerning interior design, yellow can be tricky since most people don’t want their space to feel like a giant banana. Following the ensamble below, it’s important to mix the yellow with clean neutral colors like white and brown. Yellow also looks incredible paired with gold and brass. Here’s the look:

Products: 1. Pillow 2. Chair 3. Plate 4. Headboard 5. Dresser 6. Table Lamp For even more finds inspired by this palette, go here.

Color Inspiration: Skirt.
Daffodil is the perfect yellow for upholstered pieces, accessories and art. You can also use it for the backdrop in shelving.

Color Inspiration: Shirt.
For a nice modern, creamy white, you will love Arcade White. Use it on walls, floors, wood pieces or just about anything else.

Color Inspiration: Sunglasses.
Use Java in wooden furniture pieces.

Bonus: Krylon has a great gold spray paint that can be used on lighting and accesories.

Fashion knows no boundaries and neither should interior design. For most people, using peach in a space can seem too much of a good thing. I disagree! Peach has been trending like crazy so let’s embrace it in our spaces. Now, it needs to be implemented in small steps. No one wants a giant peach room. That’s why using it with neutral tones, such as black, white and grey, works so well. We are using this super cute outfit as inspiration. So without further adieu, here’s the look:

Products: 1. Stool 2. Floor Lamp 3. Blanket 4. Dining Table 5. Pendant 6. Pillowcase 7. Pillow For even more finds inspired by this palette, go here.

Color Inspiration: Sweater.
Create a two toned wall using Extra White on the bottom, Domino on the top, divided by white chair railing placed a quarter from the floor.

Color Inspiration: Boots.
Tricorn Black can be used in accessories and lighting. A big black pendant light would look stunning.

Color Inspiration: Skirt.
Sunset is the perfect peach and can be used in accessories, fabrics, upholstered pieces and even an accent wall.

Bonus: If you want to add some cool gray to your space, use Morning Fog.

In honor of Independence Day (which, shockingly, is in just a few weeks!) I thought I would put together a red, white, and blue palette. This happens to be one of my favorite palettes to work with right now. It obviously has a cool American vibe, which is fitting for this time of the year. But it can also translate well into the remaining 11 months of the year. We see in the clothing ensemble below  a very modern take on red, white, and blue. The animal print is cool and modern, and I also appreciate the mix of black with this palette. Imagine a living space with these elements against fresh white walls and possibly a moody navy wall. Music to my ears! Here’s the look:

Products: 1. Mirror 2. White Vase 3. Horse Pillow 4. Pendant Light 5. Chair. 6. Arc Lamp 7. Desk Table 8. Sofa  For even more finds inspired by this palette, go here.

Lately I’ve been noticing a lot of bright poppy rose hues trending in fashion and home decor. Just in time for summer, this color palette is super fun to play around with. The cute floral skirt, worn below, includes bright rosie pink flowers and is paired with an orange shirt. The combo can be left alone or paired with other colors such as green and purple. Adding gold to this palette is a must. Creating a fresh and modern space using this color palette is easy and achievable. Here’s the look:

Products: 1. Sofa. 2. Wall Art. 3. Scented Candle. 4. Table Lamp. 5. Chair. 6. Sideboard.  For even more finds inspired by this palette, go here.

A color trend that we are seeing everywhere right now is Mint Green. It’s fresh, modern and super fun to incorporate. We see below in the clothing ensamble, that the model is wearing just a splash of mint in her skirt. It looks so great mixed with creams and browns. And the great thing about this color is that you don’t need to use alot of it to make a statement. Now transfer this look into a room. You can go simple by just adding a few mint pieces or you can go bold by using it in a focal piece or on the walls. Whatever you choose to do, you can create a look that’s fresh, new and classic enough to stay around for awhile. If you’re inspired to add it to your home, starting with these cool products and paint colors. Here’s the look:

Products: 1. Pendant Lamp. 2. Wingback Sofa. 3. Side Chair. 4. Throw. 5. Dinnerware. 6. Rug.  For even more finds inspired by this palette, go here.

For some interior inspiration, we see (below) that the home owners incorporated mint green to their dining room walls. We also see that they’ve used creams and browns to accent the mint. It came together brilliantly! What are your thoughts on this color trend?

When putting an outfit together, I tend to dress in neutrals first and then I add color in accessories, jackets and or shoes. The same can be said for a space. Start with neutral walls and floors and then add color in accessories and furniture. When I first saw this ensemble below, it struck me as the perfect color palette for a sophisticated yet fun living space. I can just see that great tufted sofa in poppy against a moody dark black/gray wall. Or the black and white tuffet against the red Moroccan rug. In fact I love this palette so much that someone should just take this collage and run with it! I don’t think you’ll regret it. Here’s the look:

Products: 1. Muffet Tuffet. 2. Velvet Sofa. 3. Moroccan Rug. 4. Ink Blot Pillow. 5. Yellow Bowl. 6. Yellow Linen Chair. 7. Cocktail TableFor even more finds inspired by this palette, go here.

Color Inspiration: Jacket.
To create that moody dark wall, try Black Of Night. Use it in a well lit room to avoid it from becoming too dark of a space.

Color Inspiration: T-shirt.
Greek Villa is a soft white that will look perfect paired with lots of color.

Color Inspiration: Jeans.
Use Naval in accent upholstered pieces and accessories. Also try it in window treatments and other textiles.

Color Inspiration: Scarf.
Gold Crest, Daring and Navel are all perfect to add some glorious color to your space. Try using them in textiles, ceramics, art, pillows and any other accessorie that can easily be switched. Also try using a bold color in one upholstered piece and creating a statement piece in your space.
