The Hottest Trends for You and Your Home

Our windows and doors: We’re so used to using them every day, sometimes it’s hard to notice when it’s time for a change. But once a swap has been made, the results are undeniable. See how four bloggers’ homes got major facelifts with the latest from Pella Windows and Doors.

Let the Sun Shine In

After a series of stops and starts with their door replacement (learn more about that here), Kim and Scott of Yellow Brick Home swapped out their builder-basic door with sliding glass doors and a transom that floods their kitchen with light. It also includes Pella’s Insynctive Technology, with between-the-glass shades controlled with the touch of a button.

Design Redo

When Jennifer of Rambling Renovators wanted to add privacy to her front living room almost a decade ago, she opted for plantation shutters -– but loathed their light-blocking effects ever since. Plus, the old window’s grille pattern didn’t match the open panes on the other windows in the house, making it feel even more out-of-place. Using a Pella window with Insynctive Technology, Jennifer solved two of her biggest design woes with a shade that offers privacy without sacrificing light, and clean, simple lines that feel cohesive with the rest of her home.

Getting Rid of Glare

Sand and Sisal blogger Kim and her family love gathering around the living room TV — but the existing window treatments were too dark to use during the day, and the angle of the windows created serious glare on the screen. Enter Pella Windows & Doors, who installed blinds that eliminated daytime glare and added privacy and security while allowing natural light to pour in.

Major Overhaul

Pella Windows and Doors came to the rescue when Roeshel from DIY Showoff agreed to help her mother renovate her recently purchased fixer-upper. Working with Pella, they transformed the entire entryway from a tired, rundown space into a cozy, inviting retreat.

  1. Wow. How much did Pella pay for this promotional spot? It maybe different in the us but in Canada, Pella customer service and support leaves plenty to be desired. There is a definite reason Pella will not be in my house, or unfortunately those of which require after sales service here north of the border.

  2. [...] We couldn’t be happier with our choice. The shades drastically reduce the glare on the tv and yet allow the room to still be light and bright. They give us privacy and security. Feel free to check out all the different choices of Pella blinds and shades with Insynctive™ Technology for your home. 3. Advertising should be labeled as such, or at least as advertorial. This is presented as magazine content, which is deceptive, and I don’t like it.

  4. Most people don’t pay a lot attention to the windows or doors. Actually, what guests see when they enter into someones house is the view from the windows and the home decoration. That’s why we should be really very concerned about those things. Besides, a good, quality door will keep away the thieves. Will not even mention how easy will be to maintain them clean.
