BHG Loves Alt Summit!

We’re still giddy over last week’s fabulous Alt Summit festivities in Salt Lake City! We met incredible people and enjoyed many inspiring conversations over the course of the week. Can we go back, please?

We first arrived to the beautiful Grand America Hotel on Tuesday morning and started setting up items for our BHG Blogger Dinner on Wednesday, our Alt Lounge Booth on Thursday, and our Mini Party on Friday.  See the cute little Paper Source boxes below? We formed an assembly line and filled them with how-to’s and collaboration info for attendees, all while assembling our BHG Baggu goodie bags for our future dinner guests.

We welcomed 50 talented women to our Blogger Dinner at Lugono’s Restaurant on Wednesday, and shared the BHG Baggu bags (pictured above) filled with Caldrea, Paper Source, MollaSpace, and Wicked Audio goodies (as well as our New Decorating Book!) as a thank you for attending. After BHG.com Editorial Manager Kaelin Zawilinski presented information about our current blogger programs, we we’re ready to enjoy a delicious Italian dinner and creative conversation. What a talented group of women! We so enjoyed chatting with each and every one of you.

Following our Blogger dinner, BHG team members headed back to the hotel to put the finishing touches on our adorable live set. Art Director Kylee Krizmanic constructed the amazing cover frame, and added gold washi tape embellishment to two turquoise Ikea dressers for an extra touch. Thanks to Flor for providing carpet tiles and to York Wallcoverings for sending us a pretty wallpaper backdrop!

After an amazing day speaking with Alt Summit attendees in our booth (and attending some amazing panel discussions!), we were ready for Day #3. On Friday morning Associate Home Editor Joanna Linberg and Kaelin Zawilinski hosted round tables in the Grand Ballroom. We loved these one-on-one conversations, and can’t wait to chat with these talented women in the future.

And last but not least … our Mini Party! After our round tables came to a close, the BHG team headed to the 3rd floor to set up. To celebrate our February Color Issue, the party featured a very colorful DIY Nail Bar. Guests were able to paint their nails and take home a bottle thanks to OPI or add cute embellishment to their existing manicure thanks to amazing inspiration from our friends at The Beauty Department. We can’t forget to mention Mike and his amazing team at Cornerstone AV for helping us get set up for the final event!

In addition to meeting so many wonderful people, we were very lucky to spend time with our fabulous BHG Contributing Bloggers throughout the week: Kirsten Grove of Simply Grove, Chelsey Andrews of The Paper Mama, and Nicole Balch of Making it Lovely. Also, we loved catching up with Kate Riley of Centsational Girl and Centsational Style, and Kathryn Taylor of Cookie + Kate.

Thank you to everyone who attended our dinner or stopped by our booth and mini party! We had an amazing time and can’t wait to chat more in the future!
