I Spy: Gorgeous Garlands

It’s no secret that I’m a fan of garland — bunting, flags, streamers, you name it. These are just a few of my favorites spotted on BHG.com:
Clockwise from top left: daisy felt garland, natural pinecone garland, heart garland, paper medallion garland
I even decked out my cube with a paper doily version that cost me less than a dollar! If you want to make one yourself, just gather two things: colored yarn (I used hot pink) and a mix of different-size paper doilies. String the yarn through the punched holes in each doily, alternating sizes. Once strung, swag and hang the garland on a wall, from a shelf or staircase, or even from a window ledge.
If you want to jazz it up even more, try using watercolors to colorwash the doilies, or try natural twine for a rustic look. It’s a quick and easy way to perk up a space for pennies!
