i spy: a small bath packed with style

Spotted! A small bath with style to spare.

Who says you have to skimp on style in a small bathroom? If you’re tackling a makeover, take a cue from this sophisticated bath. Classic elements–marble subway tile, a chrome faucet, and a three-light vanity fixture–create a timeless foundation, while a bold botanical shower curtain and a blocky open vanity give the room a modern edge. Swap out accessories, such as hand towelsbaskets, and plants to update the look on a whim.

PS: To complete the look, add this mirror, this towel holder, this showerhead, and this toilet.

  1. Great idea for a small bathroom. Although ours does not at this time have a window to let wonderful daylight or fresh air in, I would still love to use these colors. Could you please tell me what color is being used on the wall? Thank you!

  2. Jeanette: The wall color is Drizzling Mist by Valspar, available at Lowe’s.

  3. I love everything about this bathroom. Can you tell me what type of flooring is being used? Brand, color, I just love it!!!

  4. I was just wondering, and maybe this is a dumb question, but the showers with the windows in the wall, don’t they get wet and yucky from water? Or do they just dry them when they are done in the shower? Any advise is greatly appreciated as we are going to remodel a small bathroom in our basement. It’s only ever had a shower and 2/3 of the wall not utilized because of the little window in the middle of this wall. Becoming disabled has caused this to be very unsafe for myself regarding showering, it would be great if I could have a bathtub to either put a shower chair into, or build a bench for me to sit upon. Thanks again and these are just lovely bathrooms!!
