For Guy Fieri, Food Network star chef and Stylemaker in our upcoming September issue, it’s all about food, family, and friends. “My whole life, all I’ve thought about was food,” he says. “I feed people their favorite foods. That’s the way I want to eat. I do what feels good, and I want my friends and family to feel good when they’re at my house, too.”
Guy’s house often becomes the spot for casual, stop-on-by gatherings, and the menu always follows one simple rule—anything goes. Standbys such as his homemade pizza dough, featured in the September issue, can be turned into spicy or sweet pizzas on the fly. “If you don’t want to make your own dough, go to your favorite pizzeria, bribe them, buy some dough, then go home and knock out a pizza,” Guy says.
Other favorites like a spice-rubbed beef roast, also featured in the magazine, can be grilled ahead then sliced for sandwiches at a moment’s notice. And friends get the sushi they crave in a Guy-style spicy tuna salad piled on crispy flatbread.
When he’s not hanging out with friends and family, Guy is the host of Food Network’s Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. He’s also a cookbook author and owner of several restaurants that serve his signature-style fun foods. “I feel so blessed to be where we are,” Guy says. “I couldn’t possibly love life more.” Learn more about him at guyfieri.com.
