To enter, visit www.BeefItsWhatsForDinner.com, click on "Big Beef Promotion Sweepstakes" and then on the Ladies' Home Journal sweepstakes icon and complete the required fields prompted by the entry page and click "enter to win" or mail a postcard with your name, address, email address (optional) and daytime phone number to: "The Skinny on Lean Beef Sweepstakes," Ladies' Home Journal, 125 Park Ave., 19th Flr, New York, NY 10017. One entry per household, regardless of method of entry. Entries become the property of Meredith Corporation, 1716 Locust St., Des Moines, Iowa; and The Cattlemen's Beef Board and the National Cattlemen's Beef Association, 9110 E. Nichols Ave., Suite 300, Centennial, Colorado ("Sponsors") and will not be acknowledged or returned. Sweepstakes begins April 1, 2005 and ends June 1, 2005. Online entries must be received by 11:59 p.m., ET, on June 1, 2005. Mail entries must be postmarked by June 1, 2005 and received by June 8, 2005.

Legal U.S. residents, 21 years of age or older are eligible to enter, except employees of Sponsors, their agents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and members of their immediate families or persons residing in the same household.

On or about June 15, 2005, a random drawing from among all eligible entries received will be conducted under Sponsors' supervision to award the following prizes: one (1) grand prize winner will receive one cooking class or lesson for two (2) in or near winner's geographic area, selected and arranged by Sponsors in their sole discretion, approximate retail value ("ARV") up to $500; twenty-five (25) first-prize winners will each receive a copy of Meredith Corporation's book "15 Minutes or Less Low Carb Recipes," ARV $19.95. Potential winners will be notified by mail on or about June 22, 2005. Sponsors reserve the right to substitute a prize (or portions thereof) of equal or greater value if prize cannot be awarded as described. Prizes are awarded "as is" with no warranty or guarantee express or implied. Sponsors disclaim all and any liability for the actual provision, quality or nature of any third party product or service provided to winners. The awarding of any prize is contingent upon full compliance with these Official Rules; winners may be subject to other verification and eligibility requirements. Entrants agree to be bound by Official Rules and agree that if any winner fails to provide proof of identity, refuses to provide required affidavit, is found to have violated Official Rules or otherwise does not meet eligibility criteria, prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate in a random drawing. Entrants understand that Sponsors are not liable for injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising from participation in this promotion and acceptance, possession and use of prize. Decisions of Sponsors are final and binding.

Sponsors assume no responsibility for entries they are unable to process due to network, hardware or other technical failures; or any other reason, or incomplete, damaged, misdirected, illegible or lost e-mail or mail entries. Sponsors reserve the right, in their sole discretion to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the web site or otherwise in violation of the rules. Sponsors further reserve the right, in their sole discretion, to cancel, terminate or modify this promotion if not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, technical corruption, non-authorized human intervention or force majeure. In the event of cancellation, Sponsors reserve the right to award the prizes to eligible, non-suspect, entries received prior to date of cancellation. The use of automated entry devices or any other conduct that impedes the integrity of the sweepstakes is prohibited. In the event of a dispute, entry will be deemed made by the holder of an established e-mail account associated with the entry.

Except where prohibited by law: (i) entry constitutes permission to use the winner's entry, name, hometown, voice, likeness, photograph, and any statements regarding this sweepstakes for editorial, public relations, promotional and advertising purposes on behalf of Sponsors without compensation; (ii) potential grand prize winner will be required to complete an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability/Publicity within 10 days of notification or an alternate winner will be selected by a random drawing. If winner notification is returned as undeliverable, an alternate will be selected by random drawing. By participating and winning a prize, winners release Sponsors, their parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, and agencies and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability with respect to the prize won and participation in the sweepstakes. Information collected in or in connection with the sweepstakes will be used in accordance with Meredith privacy policy and may be shared with promotional partners.
