The Bedroom Bliss Sweepstakes begins August 24, 2009, and ends December 1, 2009 (“Promotion Period”).  All entries must be received by 11:59 pm, E.T., on December 1, 2009.  Entries become the property of Meredith Corporation, 1716 Locust St., Des Moines, IA (“Sponsor”).  
THERE ARE TWO (2) WAYS TO ENTER DURING THE PROMOTION PERIOD:
(1) Online Entry: Enter at www.bhg.com/bedroombliss, www.lhj.com/bedroombliss, or www.familycircle.com/bedroombliss by submitting a completed online entry form.
(2) Wireless Entry: If you are a wireless service subscriber and have a text messaging capable device, use your mobile device to text (standard messaging service (SMS) message) BEDROOM to 467467. You will be charged standard text messaging rates for each text message sent or received from your handset according to your service agreement with your wireless carrier.  Each wireless carrier’s rate plan may vary, and entrants should contact their wireless carrier for information on messaging rate plans and charges relating to your participation in this sweepstakes.  Any text message form of entry into this sweepstakes will be deemed made by the named account holder whose mobile phone number is assigned at the time of entry to the mobile messaging device so used.  You will receive a return text message asking for your entry information.  If you are not already a ShopText service registrant, you will be asked to provide registration information. To get help with the sweepstakes at any time, text “HELP” to 467467.

LIMIT: Limit one (1) entry per person, per email address or wireless phone number, regardless of method of entry. Entries received from any person or email address or wireless phone number in excess of the stated limitation will be void.
Sponsor, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to add or delete a wireless carrier at any time, without notice. 
Entry into the sweepstakes constitutes entrant’s consent to participate in the sweepstakes.  Online entry constitutes entrant’s consent for Sponsor to obtain and deliver entrant’s name, address and other information to ShopText, for the purpose of administering this sweepstakes and for other uses by Sponsor as permitted by applicable law.  Entries become the property of Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned.  Released Parties (as defined below) are not responsible for lost, late, stolen, incomplete, misaddressed, garbled, undelivered or misdirected entries or SMS messages.

ELIGIBILITY: Legal residents of the 50 United States, and the District of Columbia, 21 years of age or older are eligible to enter, except employees of Sponsor, ShopText, and any other organizations affiliated with the sponsorship, fulfillment, administration, prize support, advertisement or promotion of the sweepstakes and/or their respective agents, affiliates, subsidiaries and members of their immediate families or persons residing at the same address.

WINNER SELECTION AND PRIZING: On or about December 15, 2009, a random drawing from among all eligible entries received will be conducted under Sponsor’s supervision. One (1) grand prize winner will receive a prize package consisting of: one (1) AlluraBed Sleep System by Tempur-Pedic™, retail value (“RV”) $4,499. Winner has the choice of the bed size (twin long, queen, king or California king). Grand prize winner will also receive one pair of Tempur-Pedic Therapeutic bed pillows, RV $250 and a set of Tempur-Pedic luxury linens, RV $250. Bed must be ordered/redeemed by March 1, 2010.  Grand prize winner will also receive a $5,000 MasterCard gift card and a Bedroom Makeover Consultation with Nancy Glass (up to two hours), RV $1,000. Total grand prize package RV:  $10,999. Gift card subject to issuer restrictions.  Consultation must be redeemed by April 1, 2010. Sponsor will determine in its sole discretion whether consultation will be in-home, via telephone, electronic mail or mail.  Potential winner will be notified by phone and/or mail and prize redemption information provided approximately thirty (30) days from date of winner verification.  Sponsor reserves the right to substitute prizes (or portions thereof) of equal or greater value if prizes (or portions thereof) cannot be awarded as described. Sponsor will determine all elements of prizing in its sole discretion. Prizes may not be assigned, transferred, changed or redeemed for cash, except at Sponsor’s sole discretion. Prizes are awarded “as is” with no warranty or guarantee express or implied by Sponsor.  Sponsor disclaims all and any liability for the actual provision, quality or nature of any third-party product or service accepted by the winner. The awarding of any prize is contingent upon full compliance with these Official Rules. Entrants agree to be bound by Official Rules and agree that if winner fails to provide proof of identity, refuses to provide required affidavit, is found to have violated Official Rules, or otherwise does not meet eligibility criteria, prize will be forfeited and awarded to an alternate winner in a random drawing.

ODDS of winning depend upon the number of eligible entries received. 

Sponsor, ShopText, or any organizations responsible for sponsoring, fulfilling, administering, advertising and promoting the sweepstakes and/or supplying the prizes, and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliated and successor companies, and each of their respective employees, officers, directors, agents and shareholders (collectively, the “Released Parties”) are not liable for injuries, losses, or damages of any kind to persons, including death, or property arising, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, from entrant’s participation in this sweepstakes or acceptance, possession, misuse or use of a prize. Released Parties are not responsible for errors or difficulties of any kind whether human, mechanical, electronic, computer, network, typographical or other error in the printing or otherwise relating to or in connection with the sweepstakes, including, without limitation, errors or difficulties which may occur with the administration of the sweepstakes, the processing of online entries or text messages, the announcement of the prizes or in any other sweepstakes-related materials. Decisions of Sponsor are final and binding in all respects.

If a potential winner submitted an online entry, the winner notification will be sent by U.S. Mail. If a potential winner submitted a text message entry, the winner notification will be sent via SMS text message to potential winner’s wireless.  Regular carrier charges for text messages or mobile telephone calls may apply in connection with notifications from Sponsor. During the Promotion Period, Sponsor, at its discretion, may send entrants unlimited additional notifications regarding the sweepstakes.  Entrants will be charged standard carrier-specific text-message or call rates, depending on entrants’ individual wireless or non-mobile pricing plans, for these additional notifications.  There is no limit as to the number of notifications the Sponsor may send during the sweepstakes eligibility period or restriction on when notifications may be sent.  If you do not want to receive further notifications, send a text message to 467467 with the message “STOP” from the wireless device you used to enter.  If you submit a wireless entry, you agree to have your mobile phone number information and registration information remain on ShopText databases. Sponsor is not responsible for any and all communication between ShopText and wireless entrant that relates to this sweepstakes or for any and all communications between ShopText and wireless entrant regarding future promotions.
 
PRIVACY:  Registration for Sponsor’s bhg.com, lhj.com or familycircle.com website is required for online entry into the Sweepstakes.  When you register, we collect personally identifying information about you, including your name, mailing address, and email address.  The information that you provide will be added to a centralized Sponsor database so that you will simultaneously be registered for Sponsor’s other websites as well.  By entering and providing the required registration information, you acknowledge that Sponsor may send you information, samples, or special offers it believes may be of interest to you about its publications or other complementary goods offered by Sponsor.  Sponsor may also include your name and postal address in postal address lists that Sponsor sells or rents to third parties for marketing purposes.  For more information about how Sponsor uses the information you provide, see Sponsor’s privacy policy at each of the sites listed above.  IF YOU DO NOT WISH TO SHARE YOUR INFORMATION, PLEASE DO NOT ENTER THIS PROMOTION.

DISPUTE RESOLUTION: Except where prohibited, by participating Sweepstakes entrants agree that:  All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of participant(s) and Sponsor and its agents shall be governed by and construed exclusively in accordance with the laws of the State of New York without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law of any jurisdiction. Entrant agrees that any action at law or in equity arising out of or relating to this Sweepstakes, or awarding of the prizes, shall be filed only in the state or federal courts located in the State of New York and entrant hereby consents and submits to the personal jurisdiction of such courts for the purposes of litigating any such action. Except where prohibited, by participating in this Sweepstakes, entrant agrees that: (a) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes, or awarding of the prizes, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and (b) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with participating in this Sweepstakes but in no event attorneys' fees; and (c) under no circumstances will any participant be permitted to obtain awards for and hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitations or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above may not apply to you.

GENERAL: If for any reason this sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned due to an infection by a computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures, or any other causes which corrupt or affect the administration, security, fairness, integrity, or proper conduct of this sweepstakes, the Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the sweepstakes, at which time, Sponsor reserves the right to conduct a random drawing from among all eligible, non-suspect entries received at the time of the sweepstakes cancellation or termination. Released Parties are not responsible for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, for miscommunications or communications line failure, lines, cell towers, or technical failure or jumbled, scrambled, delayed, or misdirected transmissions or computer hardware or software malfunctions, failures or difficulties, or for theft, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries or text messages. Released Parties are not responsible for any problems or technical malfunctions of any telephone network or telephone lines, cable, satellite, computer on-line systems, for lost, interrupted or unavailable networks, servers, providers, website, or other connections, computer equipment, software, failure of any email or entry to be received by the Sponsor due to technical problems, human error or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer or mobile device relating to or resulting from participating in this sweepstakes or downloading any materials in this sweepstakes. RELEASED PARTIES ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR INCOMPATIBILITY OF ENTRANT’S HARDWARE, SOFTWARE OR BROWSER TECHNOLOGY WITH SPONSOR’S HARDWARE, SOFTWARE OR BROWSER TECHNOLOGY. CAUTION:  ANY ATTEMPT TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE SWEEPSTAKES IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES OR OTHER REMEDIES (INCLUDING ATTORNEYS’ FEES) FROM ANY SUCH PERSON(S) RESPONSIBLE FOR THE ATTEMPT TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.  In the event of a dispute as to the identity or eligibility of a potential winner based on an email address, the potential winning entry will be declared made by the “Authorized Account Holder” of the email address submitted at time of entry and such person must comply with these Official Rules. “Authorized Account Holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, education institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.  In the event of a dispute as to the identity or eligibility of a potential winner based on a wireless phone number, the potential winning entry will be declared made by the “Authorized Account Holder” of the wireless phone number at the time of entry will be deemed to be the entrant and must comply with these Official Rules.  “Authorized Account Holder” is the natural person who is assigned the wireless phone number by wireless service provider responsible for assigning that wireless phone number. Use of script, macro or other automated devices is not valid for entry and all such entries will be void. Sponsor may ask any entrant or potential winner to provide Sponsor with proof that such party is the Authorized Account Holder of the email account or wireless phone number associated with the entry. 

Except where prohibited by law: (i) entry constitutes permission for Sponsor and its designees to use winner’s entry, name, hometown, voice, likeness, photograph and any statements regarding this sweepstakes for editorial, public relations, promotional and advertising purposes in any and all media now known or hereafter devised, worldwide in perpetuity, without compensation, notification or permission; (ii) potential winner will be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Release of Liability/Publicity within ten (10) days of notification or an alternate winner may be selected by random drawing.  If winner notification is returned as undeliverable, an alternate winner may be selected by random drawing. By participating and winning a prize, winner releases Sponsor, its parents, affiliates, subsidiaries and agencies and their respective directors, officers, employees and agents from any and all liability with respect to the prize won and participation in the sweepstakes.  Subject to all U. S. federal, state and local laws and regulations.  Void where prohibited.  Taxes on prizes are the sole responsibility of the winner. Grand prize winner will be issued an IRS 1099 tax form in the amount of the total prize value as stated herein.
