Removing old hydrangea flowers
What do I do with the dried flowers from last year that are still on my hydrangea? Should I prune them off?
Expert's Answer
To avoid cutting off this year's flower buds, cut the stems of the dried flowers just above where you see the top set of leaf buds on the stem. Then compost the dried flowers; if they're in decent shape, use them for crafts or dried flower arrangements.
