1. the past two years, I have had disappointing results with beets, radishes, potatoes, onions and carrots. After waiting the appropriate number of days or weeks,I pull up a scrawny undersized vegetable, many times not worth eating. I used seed potatoes, shallots set, red russian garlic sets, beets, carrots and radishes from seed. They do produce leaves but not more than expected. I would like to avoid this next year.
