What is the Garden Flower Gallery?
The Gallery showcases hundreds of beautiful flowers you can grow in your garden. You'll get basic information about the flower, along with a link to more detailed information.
How do I view flowers?
To view any flower, just click on its small image. You'll see a large image of the flower, along with descriptive text. To view the next flower, look for the "Next" link near the top of the page.
How do I search the Gallery?
Use the Search features to locate flowers that meet specific criteria. For example, you can type one or more keywords in the text box on the left side of the page, then click the "Go" button.
Or you can select an option from one or more of the dropdown menus to search by plant type (annual, perennial, bulb/tuber, shrub, tree, or rose), USDA growing zone, light preference, and bloom time. When you have made your selections, click "Go."
Search results appear as small images of each flower. Click on an image to view that flower. Use the navigation links at the top of the page to move forward or backward though the search results.
What is my zone?
The U.S. is divided into regions that share similar minimum temperature. These USDA growing zones are used by plant sellers to show which plants will likely survive in a particular area. The lower the number, the colder the climate. If you don't know your zone, click the Zone Maps link in the Tools and Guides section on the main page of the Garden Flower Gallery.
How do I save flowers to My Favorites?
When you see a flower you would like to save for later viewing, click the "Save to Favorites" link that appears on the flower description page. To view your saved flowers, click on the "My Favorite Flowers" link at the top of each page in the Gallery. Use the links on the Favorites page to delete flowers you no longer wish to keep.
How do I print flowers?
To print a flower, use the "Print" link at the top of the flower's page. This will display a simplified version of the page that you can then print by using your browser's Print feature.
What if the gallery items disappear?
If flowers disappear on the page, try emptying your browser's cache of temporary internet files. The gallery should work properly afterward.
