Hi, There are many wonderful perennial plants that do well in shady conditions. Some of my favorites include: hosta, hellebore, epimedium, vinca, ajuga, lamium, columbine, bleeding heart, Virginia bluebell, tricyrtis, and ferns. You can see varieties of all these species in our Plant Encyclopedia on this website. Also, you can also do an Advanced Search in the Plant Encyclopedia. Just plug in your data and it should give you a list of planting options for your zone.
